There is so much in yoga practice to support and nourish a mother-to-be, and there is so much in yoga that can be harmful or unhelpful during pregnancy, birth and postnatally. This uniquely comprehensive training in yoga for pregnancy and birth empowers you to share deeply nourishing practices of yoga for women during pregnancy, childbirth and in the immediate postnatal period.The course was established in in 2002, with the intention to share many of the less well-known practices of yoga that are of special benefit both to the pregnant woman and her unborn child. Movement, breath and Total Yoga Nidra are shared in supportive circles, and practices for postnatal healing and childbirth are also taught. Important issues such as early pregnancy loss, anxiety, grief and other challenges of pregnancy are addressed. Pregnant women and mothers with babes in arms are warmly welcome.
In light of the current unpredictable situation with the pandemic, and in the context of a general sense of confusion, we felt that the kindest and most sensible response was to remove as much uncertainty as possible. . . So won’t be offering any live in-person teaching until next year (2022) at the very earliest. We shall continue to offer our teachings live online, and in our virtual learning environments. We trust this makes things simpler and safer.
