I am passionate about nurturing the woman and supporting her family. My own personal journey has taught me about the transformative power in women's hormonal journeys through pregnancy, birth and post-partum on one side and menopause on the other. It has also taught me the importance of having non-judgemental, compassionate support through times of transition and loss. I have also learned the vital role that a inclusive, welcoming community plays in the well-being of the family.
I primarily offer private sessions (yoga therapy and mentoring) and full-circle doula services (a trained compassionate companion from conception to birth & post-partum, as well as bereavement and end-of-life). I also offer workshops on our natural cycles of sleep and menstruation. I love building community through various events that bring together people for straight up discussions (Honest Talk & Death Cafés), support (Breastfeeding Cafes, NurtureNatureBH, Reconnect to Nature), fun (SimplePlayBH, Family Open Mic), and learning (Unlimited Learning Collaborative).
My approach is heart-centered, evidence-based, and trauma-informed. It is always adapted to the individual, and I have nurturing & nourishing attitude that honors the feminine. I draw from my personal experience and from the varied trainings that I have taken to provide a deep and rich session that will leave you fully present, joyful and peaceful. I have been learning from Mukunda Stiles since 2005 and Uma Dinsmore-Tuil since 2006. I was a Registered Yoga Teacher at the 500 hour level (RYT-500; Yoga Alliance) and a structural yoga therapist. More recently, I have completed Menstrual Leadership training with Alexandra Pope at the Red School and Total Yoga Nidra training with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli. I am also a full-circle doula (birth, post-partum, end-of-life). I look forward to working with you. With great respect and love, Maharani
