This striking eleven page pdf sets out the basic principles and guidelines for practising womb friendly yoga. It is a manifesto advocating respect for women in yoga practice. It includes: a clear exposition of why honouring womb cycles is the foundation of a refined and sensitive yoga practice for women; a set of straightforward guidelines for safe practice of yoga during the many special times of a woman's life, including during menstruation, pregnancy, when using an IUD, postnatally, during peri-menopause, and when hoping to conceive. Guidance on issues including inversions, bandhas and pumping breaths. This is a useful reference for any yoga teacher whose classes include women, or any yoga studio manager who runs yoga classes attended by female students.
